You must be a paid YSC member to hold a board position.

Benefits of serving on the YSC board

• You get a say in where the money goes
  You are directly involved in the selection/distribution of welfare payments to our military community each month at our board meetings.  If voted to give a large sums of money to fill a request, the vote will be brought to general membership as well. For those who want to be apart of real, positive change and see first hand the blessings we give away, this is a huge bonus.
• Monthly meetings are short and sweet
  We meet once a month for 1 hour. These are not formal meetings like many assume,  they have a family feel. We laugh, we hug, we enjoy each others company; all the while going through the proceedings of caring for our club and giving away money to create positive change to our community.
• Making lasting friendships
  The board is made up of officer spouses from all over the base and in many different squadrons. Our passion for our community bonds us together and allows us to create lasting relationships with each other. For those looking for a tight knit community, this is a hug bonus!
• Resume Builder
  Holding a board position is a great way to help build and maintain your professional resume.  Personal hours put in by each member can be accumulate into strong bullet points on professional resumes and show time well spent between jobs. Several of our board positions can add desirable skill sets to a resumes such as; team leadership, philanthropic ventures, accounting, web-design, marketing, research, event planning, etc. For those who are looking to keep up a resume during a season without an occupation, this is a big bonus of being on the board!
