Every year the Yokota Spouses’ Club awards multiple scholarships to dependents of the Yokota Community. Funding for these scholarships is generated through sales from the Yokota Thrift Shop and Asian Bazaar. Scholarship money may be used for tuition and university sponsored room and board at accredited trade schools, 2-4 year colleges, and universities and can be used for Master's and PhD level programs.
The following scholarship categories are available: high school senior, spouse and continuing education. An applicant’s sponsor must be an active duty US military member (any service) or SOFA-sponsored employee and the sponsor must be assigned to Yokota Air Base, Japan.
Recipients will be chosen in April and honored at the YSC annual scholarship awards banquet in May where amount values of scholarships will be announced. Scholarship money must be used during the fall 2019 semester and/or the spring 2020 semester.
